The short of it: the tool is free, the codes you make are yours, and you use both at your own risk.

Using the Generator

The QR code generator is provided free of charge for personal and commercial use. You may generate as many codes as you like and use them anywhere, without attribution. Don't use the site to encode content that is unlawful, or that infringes someone else's rights.

Your content

Whatever you type into the generator stays yours, and so do the codes built from it. Because generation happens entirely in your browser, the site never receives, stores or claims any rights over your content.

No warranty

The tool is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. QR scanning depends on factors outside this site's control, such as print quality, size, contrast and the scanning device. Test every code before printing it at scale. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the site accepts no liability for losses arising from use of the tool or of codes generated with it.

Third party software

The page includes the qrcode-generator JavaScript library, used under the MIT license. Its license notice is preserved in the page source. "QR Code" is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED; this site is not affiliated with them.

Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time. The version published on this page is the one that applies. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
